Truck is '99 Dodge Cummins 2500 with an Edge w/attitude chip and a Fass system.

Out of nowhere, it has no power. It runs, but its probably making 50 hp now and of course the check engine light has not come on.

Fuel pressure seems normal but engine shows no boost (I highly doubt its the turbo, my bet is that since the truck is running so bad its not getting enough load to boost any).

Any of you guys know Cummins? Injection pump (VP44) maybe?

All I know is they have a terrible problem with lift pumps failing and as a result the injection pumps are damaged. One of the girls I used to work with went through several lift pumps and injection pumps. Usually wouldn't run or died while driving when this happened.
She wound up getting one from here and so far so good. Also have some good reading on their site about this & that.

Vp44, diesel injection pump, bosch fuel injection pump problems, vp44 rebuild

Should've been more clear:

The Fass system is a replacement (aftermarket) lift pump and was the first thing done to the truck. From what we read it sounds like the vp44 injection pump was pretty good but it was easy to kill if fuel pressure got low or you ran the truck out of fuel. We ran codes on the truck before my brother bought it and it didn't show any vp44 codes.

Who knows though?

The only diesel I have experience with is the notorious GM 6.2L. However what you describe sounds like how it behaved when the injection pump failed.

I know you posted here to help with traffic, but did you try towrig.com also?
