Default Unanswered: FT 4x4 with locking hubs?

ok so im confused. my truck is full time 4X4 but it has manual locking hubs. that really doesnt make any sense to me because unless you have the hubs locked then your in 2 wheel drive so why have a full time set up in the first place?? someone wanna fill me in on this.

seems completly pointless to me.

in the 70's people used to put lock hubs on to get easier steering and better mileage,they did not really need fulltime 4x4 and were to cheap to get the milemarker kit.
So did you get your bear or not? and how big/old?

lol thanks.

but it looks like it came from the factory that way. it's still got the full time 4x4 stickers and locking hub warning stickers on the visor.

no I didnt get my bear. got pretty close to taking a couple though. but hey thats hunting.
I was hunting my Flintlock so no 200 yrd shots here lol gotta get nice and close.

I'll just have to wait for the fall season now.

that decal for the hubs looks like the decal that comes in the old lock hub boxes when you bought and installed aftermarket hubs. could you humor me and unlock the hubs put the t/case in the hi position and the trans in gear or park and see if the front d/line will spin ? if the d/line spins you probably have a milemarker kit in the case, if it does not spin you need to be in hi loc to move.

lol Id like to but i cant. I hooked up my shift linkage on the 203 the other day and it wont shift, I dont know If I fucked it up or if there's something wrong with it or what but the shifter is just stuck, wont move at all. Made a post about it in the tech talk but no replies yet.
