Posts: 2,792 (#5) Tech Points: 6 | Confirmed my rear suspension spring sag this morning, I've got a 2" difference from side to side. Passenger side is sitting low. I had some used 1974 3/4 ton springs I picked up from El Scotto but upon closer inspection one of those was overloaded at some point. The spring center is severely compressed and the ends are fanned open with a tweaked overload beneath. It was an old farm truck. That leaves me with the option of buying new springs. Any suggestions on brand? I don't need a lift spring - just a stock spring because I have the DIY shackle flip which gives an instant 4" lift.

| I've always wondered who makes a good factory spring. Sucks those springs off the farm truck were no good. I still think you should look at doing 56's. I know you could get springs made by Alcan that would equate to no lift. You know they are located in Junction? You can take your rig to them and they'll weight it and measure it and build the springs to suit. | |||||||||||

Aren't Alcans pricey? Gerri has me on a severely restrictive budget. I know I can get them brand new out of Kansas if I have to.Update: Gerri looked at the cost of new springs 300 plus freight, and the cost of pick-n-pull springs at 50-ish. Guess what she said. I married a damn banker.

| Look at the shipping. I would find a set from the bone yard. There were also several sets on CK% a week or two ago and Superlift has a scratch/dent store on ebay.

I've got the JC Whitney springs on my truck. They seem the same height from side to side. Meaning the spring rate seams even. They have free shipping on items over $50. Not sure but there might be an over sized package charge tho Brett

| I looked a while back and the shipping killed it for me. I just need some stock replacements too.
