Im Jon from Oklahoma.

My main 4-wheel drive is a 69 Nissan Patrol that is undergoing a 318/435/208 swap. It already has a "Lincoln Locked" D44HD/D60 combo from a 73 Dodge 3/4-ton. They also got 4.88 gears.

Hope to have it done and wheelin by the end of summer.

My wife has a 66 4cyl 4-speed Scout 800. Hoping to give it a SOA and 33"s so that she can follow me.

And eventually, it will get a D44 and D60 like the Patrol, and 5.13's.

Cool, I've always thought the partrol was neat. They're pretty rare aren't they?

Yes, the Nissan Patrol is pretty rare. 2,616 Patrols made it to U.S. shores in the 1960's. Around 800 were soft tops(L60's)

I catch ALOT of crap for what Ive done to it. Im sure I will catch more before it is through. But I think I am doing a service to other Patrol owners by selling all the original parts except the sheet metal. Ive seen Patrols in better shape than mine getting parted out. It would have taken ALOT of work to restore this one.

It had no rear axle, no rear leaf springs, no wheels, had alot of rust and dents, and many other original parts were missing or beyond repair.

But there will always be purists...

Don't know as I've ever seen a Patrol before this, interesting looking vehicle. Welcome to the family that is the mecca.

I got a winch bumper from a guy with a nissan patrol. the first one I ever seen was when I was like 15. it was in a junkyard, no emblems, I thought it was a scout model.

We used to own a '71 Cuda and Mopar muscle car guys are the same way. Most of them don't like it when you don't restore Mopars to factory.
