Default Rausch Creek wheeling 5/20 deep water

This is a short video of FOR MUD's truck going through "Deep Water" at Rausch Creek Offroad park. The park calls the area that. He runs 44's and the water was almost in the cab. In something smaller you would get wet.

That is deep. It would be funny if there was some way to put a stock truck in there for perspective.

Nice! I love primered trucks. Looks agressive like that... almost like the back alley thug.

We flatlander boys we taught not to drive into deep waters cause you never know what lurks there! How do you keep from drowning out your motor?

If you go down that trail you have to go through some depth of water. we just chose the deep spot simply because the sign posted made it sound worse then it was. In a jeep on 33's you would have water up to your chest.

As for keeping the motor dry, until the water is above my waist in the cab, the carb and distributor are dry. I go slow, don't make a wake, and only spin the tires when needed. I pretty much idled through it. then julian went through and dug it out a little for the next guy.

If I drive into something deep and water starts coming in the cab, I back up. There is a water hole at Paragon that even the park doesn't know how deep it is. They told me it was really dry one summer and the level dropped several feet. A guy drove in and within a jeep length the water has coming over the hood. they backed it out and nobody has messed with it since.

I wanted to take a sump pump up and find out for sure.

Seal the electrical, get a good snorkel, run the exhaust up through a stack and go for it. Bring a video camera and a camera man. And a life ring.

I want to try it. I bring one of the biggest trucks to the park, so if anyone has the clearance it would be me. Unfortunately the last time I attempted to get to the hole I broke a u-joint in the front shaft. You have to go down a very difficult trail to get to it. Now the park is closed and may never reopen.
