The is San Bernardino NF trail # 2n17x. The forest service has this trail rated as a "Black Diamond", but I did it in my stock 04 Tacoma TRD 4x4. There are a lot of step hill climbs with loose dirt and a lot of washed out and rutted area of the trail.

This is the first climb to get to the trail.

Here are some pictures of the triple climb (there are 3 different route of varying difficulty) and a by pass. The hardest is the middle climb, 2 H1's tried it and didn't make it. Only the red suburban did. The below pictures are of the easiest of the 3 climbs (not the by-pass).

Here is a picture pf me getting the strap. I made it up the 1st time, got board waiting for the other club members to catch up (shooting some stupid thing about a hybrid Lexus with the discovery channel). My stupid street tires got me this time.

There is the tight washed out turning part of the trail.

An here is the final hill climb. I lost traction and started to back up to get a better ling, and my front tires both came off the ground. Took me a few minutes to fish my boxers out of my puckered hole The a-bole behind me yelling "Yee haa" in the cb didn't help either. But I made it up, street tires and all.

This trail is rated a "Black Diamond". I didn't think it was that hard, just some scary hill climbs and a lot of loose dirt.

Did you run this trail? I saw your post on CK5, and say you were running cleghorn. This trail starts at the Silverwood damn. 2n17x has very few bypassed, nothing like cleghorn. Also welcom to the site.

Geez My bad. My the picture looked a lot like Cleghorn. This is the trail around the back of silverwood? Is it able to be run without body dammage?(not for my sake but for my friends rig) We are looking for pretty challenging trails and were looking at this area.

The two trails are very close to each other, only a few miles away. Yes you can run it without body damage. There is only one spot that it tight, its a long sweeping turn that is washed out in the middle.

What other trails have you run up there that are more challenging?
