I'm active duty Air Force, have been for over 12 years now. I work in POL (Petroleum, Oils, and lubricants). Don't let the name fool you though, all we handle now is fuel, liquid oxygen and liquid nitrogen, no oils or lubricants. I'm in charge of our maintenance section on the refueling trucks. We handle all the maintenance and repairs on the pumping systems on them.

Do you get to do tours in Iraq? Although I suppose you would be in some other country in the region, for instance Turkey or Saudi Arabia.

I just got home from Iraq in January. I should be home about 15 months or so then I'll head back over. One of my troops here is going there next month.

It wasn't too bad where I was at, but I know that things got pretty bad off base for the Army guys running convoys and kicking doors looking for the bad guys.
